Owner

Diana Schulman

Diana obtained her degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications. Then moved to Eastern North Carolina in 2005 and took a job with Bear Radio in the sales department. Diana’s experience in radio sales, creative marketing and strategic business planning has evolved into ownership of 97-9, Bear Radio. She has nearly 20 years of experience in building solid relationships with the local business community. When she’s not working, you can find her volunteering at several non-profit organizations in Eastern North Carolina.

Beth Venne

Beth started behind the mic after graduating from James Madison University. Her 30+ years of radio experience has taken her to numerous markets (coast to coast) and into various formats. Entertaining listeners while helping clients achieve their marketing goals is the best of both worlds for her. Beth handles the day to day operations of 97-9, Bear Radio.

Hootin Annie

Annie was born and raised in NYC and moved to North Carolina in 2020. With over 20 combined years of experience in radio and the entertainment industry, Annie loves to entertain and knows how to “work a crowd”. Listen to Bear Radio to catch “Hootin Annie” on air.
