Fans of the late Country artist Vern Gosdin have started a movement to build a life size bronze statue of Gosdin in his home town of Woodland, AL. The singer, who passed away in 2009, is known for songs such as “That Just About Does It,” “Chiseled In Stone,” “Set ‘Em Up Joe,” and more, in addition to cuts from George Strait, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, and more.

Fans have set up a GoFundMe in order to raise the $35,000 needed to build and unveil the statue on Saturday, August 5th, 2017, what would have been Gosdin’s 83rd birthday. For more information, visit
